01. Darlingham is a LITERATE site & I really can't stress that enough. Correct grammar, punctuation & spelling is required. The odd typo is all right but don't make a habit out of it.

02. Any form of abuse, discrimination, violence or bullying is allowed in character. If you have a problem with another member, report it to a Queen Bee - Anna - so proper action can be taken.

03. Members are split into their school years, first year, second year, third year & so on. They are not difficult to understand, basically it being first year = 11 years old, second year = 12 years old & so on up to eight year = 18. Darlingham works as a secondary boarding school, so the equivelent of a first year would be year seven, or for our American folks, sixth grade. However, we do suggest your character is older than 12. Unlike a regular school, however, Darlingham students must stay on until they complete their seventh year.

04. Darlingham is on the outskirts of London, UK capital, in a country-side area, but close enough to access the city. Therefore, the school is in ENGLAND. If you'd prefer a non-English character, make sure to mention where they're from & that they either moved to the UK to attend school or perhaps only travel overseas during termtime.

05. Your application will ask you for a 'secret word' which will be changed regularly, but always hidden somewhere among the rules in pink; all you have to do is find it. To help you, the word will always be related to food.

06. We don't want flocks of the 'nice' students who are all rebelling against the Darlingham concept. It gets boring & where's the action if everyone decides that, even though their parents are superstars, they're modest, kind-hearted & determined not to blend in with the others? Yawn.

07. You need to be able to handle critism. If you can't, you won't like it here. Don't take anything in a roleplay as a personal insult to you, but understand if your application is rejected or we ask you to improve your posts, it's because we want to keep Darlingham at it's best. Feel free to try again, though. jelly

08. The cBox is for chat only, no roleplaying in there. Also, don't turn sour on members or guests, we want them to feel welcome, newcomers & oldies alike!

09. Avatars can be no bigger than 100x100 & though there isn't a limit on the size of signatures, if they're too big we'll ask you to size them down or, failing that, remove them.

10. Don't assign yourself positions like head cheerleader or Queen Bee. Most of those spaces are taken but ask & check with a Queen Bee if those spaces are avaliable before going for them. You don't want an application rejected because you decided your character was everything rolled into one.

11. Display names should be your character's name. FIRST. SPACE. LAST. Please don't try to make your DN look 'pretty' by adding symbols or odd text, unless it's needed in the actual name. Also, nothing like "Rachel 'Rach' Clarke". Use either the first name or nickname, but no aka's. If you're playing two characters to one account, it should be one name, COMMAR, second name. Keep surnames in. If the names are too long, shorten to nicknames or seperate them on different accounts.
